AIR Control Display is a fully ETSO certified primary altimeter. It is an easy to read altimeter with really large numbers and perfect reliability, especially in high vibration environments like helicopters, old powered aircraft, or self launching motorgliders. 

It's tape-style moving digits and its fine altitude resolution give you a great feeling of the current vertical rate. Additionally, its solid state technology is very reliable.

Air Control Display

The AIR Control Display is a newly developed multifunctional display. It has a robust hardware, a sunlight readable display and unique functions. The AIR Control Display works with various radios and  Mode-S transponders. It is an ETSO approved altimeter, can control radios and transponders or even both at the same time.

ACD-57 features the industry's largest display area in a 57mm control head. Its stunning color screen is perfectly readable in bright sunlight. Yet it draws very little power. The design has been developed and tested to comply to strict aviation standards for multi function displays.

AIR COM is our next-generation radio with 8.33kHz channel spacing. It offers many new functions like an audio equalizer, GPS-based frequency selection, or controlling our mode-S transponder. The radio is very compact and easy to install. It is the smallest and lightest fully certified radio on the market today. The simple operation and meaningful functionality help to reduce our cockpit workloads.

Display and usage

The radio is one of the most used instruments during flight. Still, today most radios feature small displays and often a cumbersome operation. AIR COM has the largest display in its class and simple, robust controls that are perfectly usable even in turbulence or with gloves. The color display performs extremely well in sunlight and shows all information large and clear. Letters and numbers are significantly larger than in current radios.

Audio

AIR COM uses modern audio technology. The equalizer allows for the first time to improve clarity by adjusting the sound output. The digital design also makes a broad variety of functions possible, like intercom, audio mixing, or individual adjustments to sound input and output.

To confirm correct operation while sitting on ground, turn the transponder mode knob to alt and the display should say grd, then you can increase pitot pressure to above the stall speed setting and the transponder display will switch to alt.  If you fly in wave without this switch your ground speed may be very low and ATC will think you are on the ground.
