Magnetic CompassThe LX Magnetic compass comprises of a 32bit microcontroller combined with 9 sensors (3 axis, accelerometers, magnetometers), to generate a very accurate measurement of magnetic heading (compared with GPS calculation) The Magnetic heading is tilt compensated, calculations are performed 50 times per second and produce a stable reference heading for wind calculations and course change and direction information The Compass automatically calibrates itself during flight The LX Magnetic compass can be added to any existing or new LX90xx or LX80xx units through a standard RS485 bus connection.

WiFi Compatibility with the old LX9000 units. There are a few LX9000 units, GEN3 that are not "HF" versions, which means they won't recognize the latest Wi-Fi module (adapter). ->go to SETUP -> ABOUT ->next to the version is a sign: T20HF
If there is no HF, the unit must come back to the LXNAV. This will cost 1h of work (80 ex tax) + shipping

InformationHAWK has been developed by Heinrich Meyr and Peng Huang and is licensed to LXNAV.The HAWK option consists of all 3 functions: Variometer, Wind and AHRS HAWK option for the LX80xx/LX90xx, is now available. Compatibility: HAWK will run on all devices from 4th Generation onwards and V8/V80 vario only. The easiest way to check for compatibility with HAWK is to install the latest version (currently 8.04b) of the software and go to Setup->About.
Software: A request for a HAWK demo option can be found HAWK Demo request LXNAV Gliding The demo version of HAWK will run until the end of January. Once the demo expires, customers will need to buy the option. Those who dont try it now will be able to have a trial version for 1 month in the spring
